Museum's 2008 Exhibition Programme

An interesting and popular Exhibition on Local Farming in the period 1930-1960. It was the result of a joint project carried out during the past two years by South Molton & District Archive and Local History Society plus History Societies from Brayford, Charles, Filleigh, George Nympton, Kings Nympton and Witheridge.
The project’s aim was to illustrate the changes that took place in local farming during the 30 year period, which included World War II and the final transition from horse to mechanical power. The overall result was a valuable collection of memories, information and photographs, which drew in many visitors during August.
